Philodendron Gigas

The Philodendron gigas is a tropical aroid native to the rainforests of northern South America, particularly Brazil and adjacent regions, where it grows in humid, shaded understories often as an epiphyte or hemiepiphyte. It is prized for its dramatic foliage: mature leaves can become very large, commonly reaching 60–90 cm in length under optimal conditions, with some specimens producing leaves that exceed this size; the leaves are thick, velvety, and heart- to lance-shaped, often displaying deep green hues and prominent veining.
